Beth Slater is a Dig Downtown Jax blogger and grew up in rural North Florida on 20 acres of pine trees and fresh air. This upbringing instilled in her an enjoyment of nature and quiet spaces, but also a deep love of city life. She was eager to live in Jacksonville, and moved to the city to attend the University of North Florida.

Currently the online marketing administrator for JAX Chamber, Beth is also a freelance writer and copy editor. She occasionally leads walking tours of Downtown Jacksonville for AdLib Luxury Tours & Transportation.

With a strong interest in architecture and love of Jacksonville’s history, Beth’s favorite period is the city’s rebuilding after the Great Fire of 1901. Look for a dash of history in all of her blog posts.
